2012 GUIDELINES/ELIGIBILITY/PROCESS

Each year these grants will be awarded in one of the mission areas of the Satterberg Foundation. In 2012 the focus will be on promoting a just society. In order to thrive, individuals need a safe place to sleep at night, adequate food to eat, access to health care, access to education, and the opportunity for economic stability. We need to have our voices heard, and to have hope. A just society aims to ensure, through programs, or through advocacy and policy change, that all individuals have these elements in their lives. The deadline for submitting letters of inquiry is April 6, 2012. We anticipate that this will be the first of three years with this focus. To read about prior grantees, please take the time to look under Open Grants, "Current Grantees" and/or "Past Grantees" pages.

Please note:  The following instructions refer to this calendar year only.

The Satterberg Foundation seeks to fund organizations or programs working to promote a just society.  Advocacy, collaboration, organizing, or program work are among the possibilities we will consider. Amaze us with your vision. We plan to award one or more Open Grants in 2012, with the range being $20,000 - $40,000, to be paid over 1 - 2 years.  The application process is competitive.
